SOCIAL SCIENCES
FIT's Department of Social Sciences offers courses in five different disciplines. Courses are designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of social developments, human behavior, world demographics, and the global economy.
Economics
Courses taught include Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Labor Economics, International Trade, and Money and Banking. These courses, essential components of various majors and programs, are offered to all students as electives.
Philosophy
Courses offered, among others, are Ethics, Aesthetics, Informal Logic, Introduction to Western Philosophy, and Introduction to Asian Philosophies.
Psychology
Courses range from Introductory General Psychology to more advanced courses in Personality, Developmental Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Social Psychology, and Psychology of Color.
Political Science and World Affairs
Courses include Introduction to World Affairs, American Government, Contemporary Western Europe, Latin America, and Comparative Political Systems.
Sociology
Courses range from Introductory Sociology to more advanced classes such as Cross-Cultural Studies, Social Problems, Modern Organizations and Group Processes, Sociology of Race and Ethnic Relations, and Sociology of Religion.
